After you've talked things through, an optional agreement turns your understanding into something clear and shared. Each clause teaches as you fill it — the dowry/gift, work & income, housing, the role of parents, children, how disagreements get resolved, and a dignified path if it doesn't work out. Both of you accept clause by clause; families can see the result. It's a facilitation tool, not a religious or legal authority — involve a scholar/elder and a lawyer for validity — but it makes sure nobody is surprised later.
